JOB OBJECTIVES
- Works with a team to maintain the grounds of Eagle Brook’s multiple sites
- Does physical work in outdoor settings from May through November
- Operates and maintains a variety of landscaping and maintenance equipment
- Reports to Property Manager
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Maintains the appearance of grounds at various Eagle Brook campuses
- Provides lawn care including cutting grass, edging and weeding
- Trims bushes and trees
- Plants and grooms landscaping
- Operates church vehicles and equipment appropriately
- Assists with job site setup, staging and cleanup
- Complies with Eagle Brook safety policies consistently
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS
- Works in outdoor environments
- Assists in loading and unloading work trucks
- Maintains grounds equipment
- Cleans and organizes Grounds storage facility
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Qualifications
- Follower of Jesus and aligns with Eagle Brook Church’s nine core beliefs
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-3 years of related experience
- Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with landscaping and/or grounds keeping
- Mechanical aptitude for operating and trouble-shooting a variety of equipment
JOB DETAILS
- Location: Hugo, MN
- Status: Non-Exempt / Hourly
- Salary Range: $16.50-$18.50 hourly
- Full/Part Time: Part Time, up to 24 hours weekly
- Regular/Temporary: Temporary, May 1 and no later than Ocotober 31
- Workdays: Generally, Monday – Friday (generally)
- Work Hours: 7:00 am – 4:00 pm (generally)
- Remote Eligible: No

WORK ENVIROMENT / PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Regular ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like
- Regular moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another
- Regular moving of self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments
- Regular repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers
- Regular operating machinery and/or power tools
- Regular operating motor vehicles or heavy equipment
- Occasional communicating with others to exchange information
- Occasional light work that includes adjusting and/or moving objects up to 20 pounds in all directions
- Occasional medium work that includes adjusting and/or moving objects up to 50 pounds in all directions
- Occasional working in low temperatures, high temperatures, noisy environments, small and enclosed spaces and outdoor elements such as precipitation and wind
BENEFITS
There are no employer-provided benefits or paid holidays with this temporary position. The employee will accrue one hour of sick and safe leave for every 30 hours worked up to a maximum of 48 hours per year. A year for purposes of this policy begins on January 1. This time is available to be used for qualifying Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST) reasons. For notification procedures please see the Eagle Brook Employee Handbook. The employee will be able to carryover any unused sick and safe leave hours up to a total maximum of 80 hours. At any point, the available ESST balance will not exceed 80 hours. ESST hours do not pay out upon end of employment.
