Cheyenne-Eagle Butte Schools is seeking a highly motivated and knowledgeable High School Science Teacher to teach basic to advanced-level courses, such as Biology II, Chemistry II, Physics, Environmental Science, and Advanced Placement (AP) or Dual Credit Science courses. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for science education, experience teaching at an advanced level, and a commitment to fostering critical thinking and inquiry-based learning in students.
•Teach Advanced Science Courses: Design and implement engaging, rigorous, and inquiry-based lessons in advanced science subjects, including AP or dual credit courses, to prepare students for college-level coursework.
•Curriculum Development: Develop and refine curriculum materials that align with South Dakota state standards, Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS), and national AP or dual credit requirements.
•Hands-on Learning: Integrate laboratory experiments, fieldwork, technology, and project-based learning to provide students with real-world applications of scientific principles.
•Data-Driven Instruction: Assess student progress through formative and summative assessments, using data to inform instructional strategies and differentiate instruction.
•College and Career Readiness: Provide guidance to students interested in pursuing STEM-related careers, including research opportunities, college preparation, and mentorship in science competitions.
•Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other science faculty, school leadership, and external partners to enhance STEM education opportunities for students.
