EAGLE is seeking a Chief Technical Officer to oversee all technical aspects of the food certification process, including developing, maintaining and ensuring technical positions to the standards ensuring the integrity of assessments, and staying abreast of industry trends to ensure the certification remains relevant and reliable, while collaborating with other departments within the organization to deliver high-quality certifications.

Responsibilities include:
- Lead and manage the Technical Team, Providing clear direction and guidance.
- Represent EAGLE as a leader and ambassador with external partners, auditing bodies, and industry technical advisory councils.
- Responsible for the Board of Governors and Impartiality committee, ensuring adherence to governance standards.
- Responsible for final decisions on tech positions and matters, ensuring consistency and compliance across all technical operations.
- Serves as the primary point of contact for escalated technical issues.
- Responding to technical questions as needed
- Maintains current knowledge of food regulatory requirements, oversight, and industry standards.
- Provides training for auditors and the technical teams to ensure ongoing competency and compliance.
- Oversees the Auditor onboarding training program, ensuring effective induction for new auditors.
- Provides crisis management during unforeseen technical challenges or operational disruptions.
- Support Food oversight interactions, providing technical expertise and advice where needed.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or biochemistry.
- Experience in management systems in a regulated environment.
- Demonstrated experience in managing complex projects.
- Requires high-level proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and database software.
- Basic understanding of business accounting and finance principles.
- Skilled at organizing and conveying detailed and complex information to diverse individuals and groups in a clear and effective manner.
- Effective communicator and trainer: able to listen to diverse opinions and formulate logical and practical solutions to registration and compliance challenges.
- Advanced in writing and editing technical and procedural materials.
