ESSENTIAL JOB ELEMENTS:
- Act as receptionist for main office of the school e.g phone calls visitors primary student contact.
- Supervise office aides sort and distribute mail operate office machines and maintain adequate office supplies if not completed by Office Manager.
- Maintain accurate student records and parental communication in the areas of discipline attendance and eligibility.
- Maintain accurate student records in the areas of athletics schedules rosters create athletic programs and other print materials confirmation of all athletic/activity events with participating parties.
- Assure physical examinations insurance doctor releases and athletic transfers per CHASSA of all athletes prior to the beginning of each season.
- Assure all transportation requirements are completed for athletes and coaches.
- Maintain a working knowledge of CHSAA rules and regulations in all areas of athletics and update and maintain state-wide athletic database.
- Receiving of athletic fees to ensure a clear audit trail.
- Perform secretarial duties i.e filing typing taking dictation scheduling office management confirmation of appointments student records mandatory reports as required by the principal/assistant principal/athletic director.
- Assist in the school health room as needed when the district Nurse or Health Assistant is not available and use appropriate infection control procedures.
- If applicable maintain on-line athletic/activity information for the public.
- If applicable update and maintain athletic/activity calendar.
- If applicable update and maintain electronic marquee.
- Perform other duties assigned.

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2 years previous secretarial experience.
- Working knowledge of computer keyboarding database spreadsheet and word processing.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Effective organizational and time management skills.
- Successful experience working with confidentiality information in an office setting.
- Valid community First Aid card and CPR card or acquire within 6 months of hire.
- Documented completion of at least 2 specialized technical courses or acquire within 6 months of hire.
- Problem-solving capabilities and ability to work with minimal supervision and direction
