Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to serve as our Athletic Secretary. This role is responsible for providing administrative support to the athletic department, including maintaining accurate student records, supervising office aides, and managing athletic programs.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate student records in the areas of discipline, attendance, and eligibility.
- Assure physical examinations, insurance, doctor releases, and athletic transfers per CHASSA of all athletes prior to the beginning of each season.
- Receiving of athletic fees to ensure a clear audit trail.
- Perform secretarial duties, such as filing, typing, taking dictation, scheduling, and office management.
- Assist in the school health room, as needed, when the district Nurse or Health Assistant is not available.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2 years previous secretarial experience.
- Working knowledge of computer: keyboarding, database, spreadsheet, and word processing.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Effective organizational and time management skills.
- Valid community First Aid card and CPR card (or acquire within 6 months of hire).
- Documented completion of at least 2 specialized technical courses (or acquire within 6 months of hire).
