Position Summary
The ADON works closely with the Director of Nursing to oversee clinical operations and ensure the highest standard of resident care. This role is critical in maintaining regulatory compliance, mentoring nursing staff, and supporting the facility’s overall healthcare goals.
Key Responsibilities
Support the DON in managing nursing services in accordance with state and federal regulations
Supervise, train, and evaluate nursing staff and ensure high-quality care delivery
Participate in care planning, assessments, and resident evaluations
Oversee infection control and quality assurance initiatives
Assist with staff scheduling and ensure adequate coverage
Serve as a point of contact for residents, families, and healthcare providers
Conduct audits and implement corrective actions as needed
Participate in facility inspections and surveys
Qualifications
Current Nursing license in Texas
Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in long-term care or skilled nursing
Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred
Strong understanding of long-term care regulations and resident rights
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
Ability to lead a team in a fast-paced environment
