What are the responsibilities and job description for the Merchandiser - Norfolk position at Eagle Distributing Inc.?

As a merchandiser you'll be an integral part of the team, responsible for product merchandising from back stock at each retailer/customer location and developing relationships with those customers!
This can include overstock, setting up displays, and rotating product to ensure freshness standards are met, as well as assisting with special events as needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Stock shelves, floor displays and coolers with Eagle product in back stock inventory
- Ensure product is rotated and managed
- Ensure displays are merchandised properly and effectively
- Maintain a clean and organized back stock area
- Transport products from back stock to display areas using hand trucks and pallet jacks.
- Communicate with Manager on out of stock product or other issues noticed on site
QUALIFICATIONS
- No prior work experience required, though prior experience in grocery / retail / beverage industry a plus
- Excellent communications skills needed
- Self-motivated and results oriented
- Highly organized with the ability to manage priorities and coordinate multiple projects
- Ability to lift, load, unload, and move product that weighs up 60 lbs constantly and up to 165 lbs occasionally.
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Valid drivers’ license and a good driving record
- Attend and complete required meetings and training
