Graphic Designer Job Description Summary
Under the Direct Supervision of the Marketing Manager, the Graphic Designer is responsible for providing support for the marketing department through a variety of channels: print, digital, web, video, and others as assigned. The Graphic Designer will assist the Marketing Manager with the development and design of core Eagle Eye Outfitters email marketing, mailers, graphics, logos, collateral event materials, and a variety of other creative tasks as assigned. Ultimately, the duties of the Graphic Designer are to support the radical customer service experience by implementing marketing strategies with clear & precise designs to increase traffic and lead generation.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support & foster a culture in all marketing channels that ensures precise communication of our campaigns and radical customer service.
- Prepare artwork and designs as directed by the Marketing Manager. Creation and updates to various design collateral.
- Collaborate with the Marketing Manager and the Assistant Marketing Manager on the design of all print materials such as mailers, event materials, catalogs, giveaway items, etc.
- Creation, planning, and execution of Eagle Eye’s email marketing strategy. Responsible for the design of emails and the maintenance of customer lists, segmentation, and data via Klayvio.
- Research new email marketing trends and stay informed & up to date on current analytics and seek to improve them.
- Focus on developing and creating our SMS (text) strategies through Klayvio. Maintain the customer lists, segments, and data on a regular basis.
- Assist in creating and executing strategies for Eagle Eye’s social media channels including but not limited to Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, & Twitter.
- Assist with video and photo production (organizing, shooting, editing, etc.) as needed.
- Work simultaneously on multiple projects at one time with the ability to multi-task and prioritize based on importance to complete by the deadline.
- Maintain Eagle Eye’s authentic voice through all media channels to engage our audiences. Help moderate all content and design aspects of Eagle Eye’s voice in print, web, and video.
- Collaborate with internal teams on marketing campaigns and design assets.
- Foster an environment that places the needs of the customer (both internally & externally) before any task-oriented job responsibilities.
- Continuous training and research to stay up to date on software/graphic design development trends.
- Crosstrain job responsibilities of other members of the Marketing team to ensure critical tasks are completed in their absence.
- Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education/Experience:
- Should possess a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in graphic arts, design, or a related field.
- Proven work experience in professional Graphic Design preferred.
- A strong online portfolio of graphic design work.
- Photography background a plus.
Schedule Requirements:
- While most of the responsibilities of this position will fall during normal weekday work hours, Eagle Eye Outfitters is a retail establishment that may require availability to work flexible shifts during seasonal peaks in traffic and special projects:
- 5 Day work week with primarily 8–9-hour shifts.
- The possibility of an occasional Saturday to meet marketing deadlines or in the event of a special event.
- Eagle Eye is closed every Sunday.
Computer/Technical Skills:
- Extensive Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Specifically Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat, Lightroom) and Canva.
- Excellent computer knowledge for both MAC and PC environments.
- Microsoft Applications.
- Proficiency in Excel & other Microsoft Office applications for preparing & analyzing sales reports and marketing strategies.
- Efficient with the pen tool and silhouette cutouts.
- Efficiency with retouching, editing, and cropping images.
- A strong grasp of modern technology and social media platforms.
- Working knowledge of video editing software is a plus.
- Previous Experience using a POS/Inventory Management System a plus.
