Warehouse Receiving Associate Job Description Summary
Under the Supervision of the Warehouse Receiving Manager, a Receiving Associate is responsible for providing efficient and organized support to our customers by ensuring new product is received properly. The goal of this position is to use warehouse functions to minimize handling of inventory, maximize effective use of space, and maximize accuracy of inventory receipts.
RESPONSIBILITIES

- Provides quality & accurate work, achieves goals of the warehouse department, and ensures their customer is at the center of every decision made.
- Maintains a clean and orderly warehouse for receiving. Follows the directive of the Warehouse Manager to ensure warehouse functions are performed accurately & efficiently.
- Unloads freight from daily incoming trucks.
- Checks in and organizes freight using standard procedures set by warehouse receiving manager.
- Receives, inspects, and records products into inventory management system with accuracy and precision.
- Verifies and receives products using a digital scanner to ensure accuracy in items being transported from the distribution center to the store.
- Collaborates with Merchandising team for stock quantities needs for floor.
- Continuously performs general housekeeping and straightening of warehouse space as needed.
- Maintains organization and cleanliness of receiving area and loading dock. Performs basic cleaning activities in work area such as dusting, sweeping, mopping, collecting trash, etc. as needed.
- Assists with providing support for special projects & events as assigned.
- Complies with inventory control procedures & company standards.
- Knowledgeable of and follows all store safety procedures.
- Peer-to-Peer Accountability. Serve co-workers and be willing to have courageous conversations as needed for each other’s individual development and growth.
- Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education/Experience:
- High school degree/equivalent or more. Additional educational training in warehouse operations or receiving a plus but not required.
- Proven work experience in warehousing, receiving, inventory management, or retail stock experience is preferred.
Schedule Requirements:
- Availability to work flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- 5 Day work week with primarily 8-9 hour shifts, 8AM-5PM or 10AM-7PM on Fridays. (10AM-7PM shifts on Fridays will be rotated between employees).
- Potential to work anywhere from 10-12 Saturdays each year, depending on heavier sales days or holidays.
- Eagle Eye is closed every Sunday.
Computer Skills:
- Microsoft Applications - General Understanding of Excel for logging freight data and reading daily inventory pulls reports.
- Previous Experience using a POS/Inventory Management System a plus.
- Basic Typing Skills.
