SS0066 - GraphQL (API) Developer Implementation Partner - Mphasis Experience - 8 Years Domain - Banking / Airlines Location - Charlotte, NC - Onsite - (M-F) (Candidates within 100 Miles) C2C Rate - Based on Expertise We seek a Senior GraphQL Developer with 8 years of experience to design, implement, and maintain GraphQL APIs for a large enterprise client in the insurance domain. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain GraphQL APIs that efficiently retrieve and manipulate data. Implement best practices in GraphQL schema design, query optimization, and API security. Work with GraphQL server frameworks such as AWS AppSync, Apollo Server, or Prisma. Integrate GraphQL APIs with multiple front-end and back-end applications. Ensure efficient data retrieval and response times by optimizing GraphQL queries and resolvers. Leverage GraphQL subscriptions, mutations, and caching for real-time and scalable solutions. Utilize RESTful APIs alongside GraphQL for hybrid API strategies. Work with HTTP and SOAP protocols to ensure seamless API communication. Develop and deploy APIs using AWS cloud services (e.g., AWS Lambda, AWS DynamoDB, AWS S3, API Gateway). Implement serverless architectures to ensure scalable and cost-effective API solutions. Work in Agile Scrum environments, collaborating with cross-functional teams. Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements, provide technical guidance, and ensure API alignment with business objectives. Effectively communicate technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders. Stay updated with GraphQL best practices, emerging tools, and new AWS services. Qualifications and Skills Required Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 8 years of experience in API development, with at least 2 years of hands-on GraphQL experience. 5 years of experience working with REST architecture and HTTP-based APIs. Strong experience in AWS cloud services. Strong understanding of GraphQL schema design, queries, mutations, and subscriptions. Experience with GraphQL server frameworks (AWS AppSync, Apollo Server, Prisma). Experience with SOAP protocols is a plus Strong proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript. Hands-on experience with AWS services, including AWS Lambda, AWS DynamoDB, AWS S3, API Gateway. Familiarity with serverless computing and microservices architectures.
