Job Overview
Eagle Hills Golf Course is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Server/Bartender to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional customer service. As a Server/Bartender, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere, serving food and preparing/serving beverages in our restaurant, on course beverage cart and at special events. Your knowledge of food safety and the food industry will contribute to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and service.
Duties:
- Take food orders and run the food to the customer.
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences.
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including washing/polishing glassware, cleaning countertops, and disposing of waste appropriately.
- Interact with customers in a friendly manner, taking food and drink orders and providing recommendations based on their preferences.
- Operate point of sale system accurately, processing payments and managing tabs efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling practices at all times.
- Assist in catering events as needed, providing food and beverage service for events, along with some set up and take down.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service during busy periods.
Qualified Applicants Possess:
- 2 years serving experience preferred.
- 6 months to 1 year bartending experience preferred.
- Familiarity with Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and calculating drink prices accurately.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and food handling regulations.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- A passion for customer service and creating memorable experiences for guests is highly valued.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
- Open availability and able to start in March.
- Tips certification.
This is a part time position with some weeks closer to full time, depending on the event schedule. Our busy season is March - October and December, although limited shifts are available year round. The position is ideal for local college students who want to work more in the summer and have a lighter schedule during the school year. Students leaving for college in August or September need not apply as our busy season runs to the end of the September and early October.
