The Stormwater Inspector plays a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of our community by protecting our water resources and preventing pollution. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for scheduling and conducting field inspections for long-term stormwater pollution prevention on commercial property.
You will also respond to reports of illicit discharges, illegal dumping, and potential contamination sources, initiating containment actions when necessary. In addition, you will maintain detailed records, including photographic documentation, inspection reports, and follow-up actions in both paper and electronic formats.

Main Responsibilities:
- Schedule and conduct field inspections for long-term stormwater pollution prevention on commercial property.
- Respond to reports of illicit discharges, illegal dumping, and potential contamination sources.

- Collaborate with property owners, contractors, and developers to provide guidance on erosion control plans and BMP implementation.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field, such as environmental science, civil engineering, or a related field.
- At least three years of experience in stormwater management, construction, maintenance, or repair.
- Knowledge of IDDE (Illicit Discharge Detection and Elimination) and ability to enforce codes firmly and fairly.
- Proficient in using GPS and GIS software for tracking inspection locations and maintaining accurate data.
