We are seeking a passionate and skilled Pet Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and a commitment to providing exceptional grooming services. As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and well-being of pets while delivering outstanding customer service to pet owners. Your expertise in animal care and grooming techniques will help create a positive experience for both pets and their owners.

Responsibilities

• Manage own groomer schedule and appointments; self motivated
• Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling pets according to breed standards and owner preferences.
• Assess the condition of each pet's coat and skin, identifying any issues that may require veterinary attention.
• Handle animals safely and compassionately, using appropriate restraint techniques when necessary.
• Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized after each use.
• Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' grooming needs, behaviors, and any concerns observed during the grooming process.
• Provide excellent customer service by building rapport with clients and addressing their questions or concerns.
• Stay updated on the latest grooming trends, techniques, and products to enhance service offerings.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in animal care or grooming is preferred; however, training may be provided for motivated candidates.
• Knowledge of dog handling techniques, animal restraint methods, and general pet care practices.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners.
• Familiarity with various breeds of dogs and cats along with their specific grooming needs.
• Experience in veterinary assistance is a plus but not required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• A genuine love for animals and commitment to their well-being is essential.

Grooming area in located in Veterinary hospital. Grooming entrance, grooming table, large bath and kennels are provided. May use large dog runs in hospital as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $26.21 per hour

Expected hours: 36 – 40 per week
