Paid Maternity/Paternity Leave: After one year of employment and 1,250 hours worked, Eagle provides up to 2 weeks of paid maternity/paternity leave for the birth or adoption of a child, pro-rated based on FTE status.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assures accurate and timely collection of venous and capillary blood specimens according to procedure.
- Instruct patients in a clear and understandable manner the correct collection technique to insure accurate results.
- Assures accurate identification of all patient samples.
- Performs specimen processing in accordance with laboratory policies and procedures.
- Perform clerical functions such as data entry of patient information, patient results, appointments, etc. in an accurate and timely manner.
- Accurately and completely maintain all required departmental logs.
- Demonstrates knowledge of phlebotomy by serving as a willing resource to staff. May be involved in on-boarding and training of new employees.
- Protects self, coworkers and facility by following proper safety procedures to prevent the spread of blood borne and/or airborne diseases.
- Participate in yearly OSHA/HIPAA training.
- Follows HIPAA guidelines for patient confidentiality and maintains security of Protected Health Information (PHI)
- Exhibits and promotes the professional image of the department.
- Maintains inventory and supplies related to job activities and monitors expiration dates.
- May perform waived testing and perform related maintenance and quality control.
- May need to participate in proficiency testing.
- Effectively communicates and demonstrates good customer service throughout the organization to providers, peers and patients.
- Maintains clear real time communication with peers and leadership regarding issues, concerns and problems which may affect patient care or the operation of the department.
- Displays a positive attitude and team-oriented spirit, indicated by a willingness to assist where and whenever needed.
