About the Role
This position requires an Oregon Special Education Generalist license or an equivalent credential, or the ability to obtain the appropriate licensure prior to the start date.
The VIP is designed to support students with disabilities in building the functional, social, academic, and career skills necessary for independent living and meaningful employment.
The ideal candidate is innovative, collaborative, and enthusiastic about preparing students for successful post-secondary transitions.
Bilingual applicants, particularly those fluent in Spanish, are encouraged to apply.
Who We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will possess expertise in specifically designed instruction for students with disabilities, including reading, mathematics, behavior, social skills, and life skills.
A strong desire to collaborate with educators, support staff, families, and external agencies is essential.
The ability to adapt and implement curriculum to meet the diverse and evolving needs of students is a key component of this role.
The role includes coordinating with local community partners to offer real-world work experiences and employment opportunities for students.
The teacher will regularly assess student progress and adapt instruction to meet a range of learning needs.
Additionally, the position requires fostering a supportive and structured classroom environment that promotes student independence and respect.
The teacher will collaborate closely with families, paraprofessionals, and related service providers to deliver comprehensive
support, and will supervise students in various instructional settings including the classroom, community, and job sites.

Contract Days: 193/194 days to begin August 21, 2025
Salary Range: No less than $46,548 - $90,846 plus master's stipend of $2,327 (depending upon approved previous experience and graduate level credits).
Special Education Teachers receive a Federal Compliance Stipend of $3,000 each year
