About the Role
You will use differentiated instruction and re-teaching methods to meet the needs of all learners. Analyzing student data to inform instruction, you will adjust lessons to support both whole-class and individual learning.
Your role includes scaffolding rigorous and engaging lessons that inspire a love for literature and writing.
You will integrate technology and innovative teaching strategies to enhance student learning while collaborating with colleagues to refine curriculum and instructional practices.
Maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom environment, you will support student growth and independence.
Additionally, you will participate in school-wide initiatives and professional learning communities, with opportunities to engage in extracurricular activities as a coach or advisor.
Who We’re Looking For
EPSD9 is looking for an inspiring educator who is committed to student success. The ideal candidate will have a current Oregon Teaching License with an endorsement in English Language Arts.
Experience with Standards-Based Teaching and Learning instructional practices is preferred, along with strong knowledge of differentiated instruction, scaffolding, and student engagement strategies.
The candidate should have the ability to analyze and use student data to guide instruction and a passion for educating all students while ensuring equitable learning experiences.
Strong classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills are essential, as well as
a desire to contribute to the school community beyond the classroom. Bilingual applicants in Spanish are encouraged to apply.

Supervisor: Principal/Administrator
Contract Days: 193/194 days per year / 8 hours per day
Salary Range: $46,548 - $90,846 plus master's stipend of $2,327 (depending upon approved previous experience and graduate level credits)
Position will begin August 2025, with screening to begin immediately.
