Position Details:
Title: Science Teacher for 2024-25 School Year
Placement (location): Eagle Point High School
Supervisor: Principal or designee
Contract Days: 194 days/8 hr per day *pro-rated based on start date
Salary Range: No less than $45,635 - $89,065 plus master's stipend of $2,282 (depending upon approved previous experience and graduate level credits)
Position Closing Date: Open until filled, screening to begin as soon as possible
Description:
This position requires an Oregon Teaching license with an endorsement in Foundational Science (or secondary science endorsement in Biology, Chemistry, Integrated Science or Physics) or the ability to obtain same license prior to the start date. Actual classes taught will be decided based on specific areas of expertise as well as areas of need. Opportunities to participate in extracurricular activities or athletics as a coach / advisor may also be considered. Applicants who are bilingual in Spanish are encouraged to apply.
General Expectations:
The ideal applicant will have demonstrated content knowledge and pedagogic skill relative to Science. A desire to collaborate with other educators, as well as the ability to maintain and adapt existing curricula to meet the ever changing needs of our students is required. The ideal candidate will be comfortable using a variety of pedagogical and assessment tools, have a passion for educating ALL STUDENTS, and a willingness to be involved in the school community beyond the classroom setting.
