Job Title: GRAPHIC ARTIST – PRODUCTION

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Production Graphic Artist is responsible for separation of approved artwork. Must be capable of separating vector as well as photoshop artwork. Must have significant production knowledge and be able to anticipate and troubleshoot production issues before they arise. Must prepare job envelopes with all required production information and send files via M&R i-image ST Digital unit and complete their assigned tasks in a timely manner.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each specific duty satisfactorily.
§ Designs and produces a wide range of concepts related to apparel, accessories and hard goods.
§ Graphic designers must be able to look at their work from the point of view of their consumers and examine how the designs they develop will be perceived by the consumer to ensure they convey the client’s desired message.
§ Interprets and applies brand standards consistently to all materials produced
§ Collaborates with internal Sales & Merchandising teams to develop graphic design approaches for apparel and merchandise collection presentations necessary to accomplish sales goals
§ Performs basic graphic-related tasks, including illustrations and image editing
§ Remains current on retail and fashion trends for graphic development
§ Responds to needs of Sales & Merchandising teams as required for challenging deadlines
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
REQUIRED SKILLS
§ Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud software: Photoshop, Illustrator.
§ Color Separation skills a plus
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
§ Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in graphic design or related discipline, preferably in retail or consumer products.
§ Strong typographic and layout skills.
§ Awareness of design and photography trends and ability to adapt these trends into strategic, brand-centric design.
§ Ability to handle multiple projects from concept to completion, often with tight and shifting deadlines.
§ Ability to work and contribute creatively in a collaborative team environment.
