Yard Hand

Eagle Propane & Fuels LP is in search of a Yard Hand to add to our team! A good yard hand will be accustomed to being outdoors for long periods of time. They are eager to assist both customers and co-workers. They are receptive to instructions working as a team and are able to pace themselves well when working alone. They are a safety minded individual who maintains an orderly work environment, is aware of their surroundings, and paces themselves well.

Primary functions

1. Preparing overhead tanks to go to customer locations.

· Pressure washing tanks

· Painting tanks

· Recovering fittings from old tanks (Knowledge of hand tools)

· Placarding tanks

· Operating a forklift

2. Operate propane station

· RRC Propane certification is a plus, training / certification will be provided

· Load and unload Propane bottles from customer vehicles (Must be able to lift 65 lbs / Buddy lift 165 lbs)

· Repair and inspect propane tanks

3. Maintain shop / supply inventory

· Monitor inventory level of fittings for tanks

· Monitor inventory levels of propane tanks

· Monitor inventory levels of all needed supplies to perform tank prep

· Inform office staff to place orders for needed supplies

Secondary functions

1. Assist with Oils / Lubes / DEF Deliveries

· Help receive Oil deliveries

· Assist with loading and unloading trucks for delivery

· Assist with blending Oils

· Make deliveries to customers as needed

2. Assist CDL Drivers

· Act as a spotter when needed

· Bring emergency supplies to drivers (Filters / Nozzles / Fittings / Coolant Etc.)

· Assist drivers with plumbing / containments on locations

· Assist with loading and unloading overhead / bulk tanks

3. Assist with any repairs needed

· Plumbing / Pumps on yard bulk tanks

· Pumps / Nozzles on customer locations

· Assist mechanic with truck repair as needed (Placing pumps, etc.)

This is not a comprehensive list, training will be provided for all tasks, including safety training for all potentially hazardous tasks.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
