Position Title: Paint Prepper
Position summary:
Help painters by performing duties which include using, supplying or holding materials or tools, and cleaning work area and equipment.
Tasks:
- Clean work areas and equipment.
- Read work orders or receive instructions from supervisors in order to determine work requirements.
- Supply or hold tools and materials which include erecting and disassembly of scaffolding.
- Apply protective coverings such as masking tape to articles or areas that could be damaged or stained during the work process.
- Stripe weld seams; mask and cover hatch rings.
- Perform support duties to assist painters and coating foreman.
Skills:
- Mechanically inclined.
· Able to stand for long periods of time with limited breaks.
· Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds and team lift up to 150 pounds.
· Work in extreme temperatures and elements for an extended period of time.
· Must be able to work in confined spaces.
· Must be able to work at elevated heights.
· Must be able to read and comprehend basic drawings and scope of work.
· Must possess basic math skills, addition, subtraction.

Work Environment/Conditions and Physical Demands:
- Candidate must be able to perform the following physical tasks:
- Working around heavy moving equipment
- Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Work in high places and confined areas.
- Climb, squat, bend, twist, and regularly lift up to 50 pounds or more to accomplish work tasks.
- Requires the use of a tight-fitting respirator; You must be appropriately clean-shaven per OSHA 29 CFR 1910.134, at all times.
Experience and Education:
- High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate); 2 years verifiable work experience.

Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
