Position Summary:
Install, repair, and maintain mechanical regulating and controlling devices, safety and flow valves.
Tasks:
- Connect regulators to test stands and turn screw adjustments until gauges indicate that inlet and outlet pressures meet specifications.
- Record maintenance information, including test results, material usage, and repairs made.
- Disconnect and/or remove defective or unauthorized valves, using hand tools.
- Lubricate wearing surfaces of mechanical parts, using oils or other lubricants.
- Disassemble and repair mechanical control devices or valves, such as safety valves, XS flow valves, heater coils, or bottom outlet valves, using power tools, hand tools, and cutting torches.
- Turn valves to allow measured amounts of air or gas to pass through gauges at specified flow rates.
- Examine valves parts for defects, dents, or loose attachments, and mark malfunctioning areas of defective units.
- Test valves and gauges for leaks and accurate temperature and pressure settings, using precision testing equipment.
- Attach air hoses to valve connections; then plug outlets and observe gauges for pressure losses in order to test internal seams for leaks.
- Replace defective parts, such as ball valves, ruptured disks, and safety valves, and reassemble units according to customer specifications using hand tools.

- Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds and team lift up to 150 pounds.
- Work in extreme temperatures and elements for an extended period of time.

Experience and Education:
- High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate)
- 3 years verifiable work experience.
- Experience Removing, Cleaning, and Reassembling Valves (preferred).
- Familiarity with reviewing drawings, IMOs, and Dye Pen techniques.
- Valve Rebuild, BLT, VT, PT, Mag Certification (Required)

Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour
