EMPLOYMENT CLASSIFICATION: Full-time, 40 hours per week. Exempt.
ABOUT EAGLE RANCH
Eagle Ranch is a Christ-centered nonprofit organization located in Flowery Branch, Georgia, that takes a whole family approach to restoring and renewing relationships for children and families. Eagle Ranch was founded in 1985 and has served thousands of children and their families.
PURPOSE OF POSITION
Eagle Ranch has always been supported by a generous donor community passionate about loving children and families in their community. Over the past three years, Eagle Ranch has significantly expanded program offerings and continues its legacy of making these best-in-class services available to any family regardless of their financial situation. As we increase staffing and resources to help more children and families, we desire to add another fundraiser to our team so we can continue to make these services affordable to any family. This position will focus on deepening connections with current donors while also reaching new giving audiences and is responsible for stewarding and further expanding our donor community.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Donor Engagement (60%):
- Proactively reach out to existing and past donors to update them on our progress and deepen their connection to our mission.
- Ask questions, listen and help donors connect to needs that resonate with their hearts.
- Minister to donors through opportunities for generosity, impact and purpose. Invite them into a story that is bigger than themselves.
- Counsel and help donors think strategically about their giving and life goals for and beyond Eagle Ranch.
- Maintain donor records and excellent follow-up/follow-through with donor wishes.
Prospect Development/Public Relations (20%):
- In addition to your current network of contacts, work with the Director of Development to garner referrals from board members, existing donors and professional advisors (wealth advisor community).
- Use available prospecting tools (Raisers Edge, Foundation Directory Online, and others) to find new funding sources and opportunities.
- Seek opportunities for public speaking and sharing our story with interested groups (civic organizations, churches, schools, non-profits, businesses, industry organizations, roundtables, etc.).
- Find ways to share messages of the Ranch (i.e. parenting advice, trends we’re seeing in children, etc.) with relevant audiences that will help grow the Ranch’s brand value and awareness in the local community.
- Assist with events, campus tours, visiting groups and hospitality of guests on campus.
Strategic Planning (20%):
- Work with Development and Marketing teams to create innovative approaches and execution of giving strategies across all donor groups:
- Lapsed donors
- First time donors
- Monthly donors
- Honor/memorial donors
- Next gen donors
- Non-major donors
- Legacy/endowment donors
- In-kind givers
- Work with Eagle Ranch Leadership team to create a giving culture where the donor experiences the value and blessings of biblical generosity while bearing witness to all that God is the Ranch’s ultimate provider.

BASIC SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Affirms and exhibits a life in line with Eagle Ranch’s Statement of Faith.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college.
- At least three years of highly successful development or outside sales experience.
- Strong communicator, both written and oral, across the socioeconomic spectrum with the confidence to engage with any audience, including corporate teams, external stakeholders, and the elderly, with clarity and empathy.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and project management platforms like Asana.
- Knowledge of and experience with Blackbaud CRM Platform preferred.
- Possession of an established Client/Personal network preferred.
