What are the responsibilities and job description for the Banquet Set Up Attendant position at Eagle Ridge Resort & Spa?
PURPOSE AND PERFORMANCE GOALS
Prepares and sets up convention and banquet space according to the banquet event order and based on established facility guidelines. Provides professional meeting space for clients through accurate room sets, timeliness of refreshes, and consistently meets all other guest needs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):
- Sets rooms to standards.
- Ensures guest satisfaction scrutinizing room sets to standards.
- Communicates with clients for special needs and requests.
- Completes work orders as needed for equipment.
- Keeps equipment and storeroom in excellent order.
- Refreshes setup cart for next shift.
- During group breaks must refresh water set ups and remove dirty glassware, etc., from meeting tables.
- During lunch must refresh rooms by replacing all dirty glassware, empty trash, straighten chairs, and maintain an overall clean room.
- Notifies manager or supervisor when in need of inventory such as batteries, paper, pens, etc.
- Notifies manager or supervisor of any problems or complaints as and when they arise.
- Cleans all meeting rooms consistently in the following areas:
- Dusts all woodwork.
- Polishes glass and mirrors.
- Polishes railings.
- Dusts light fixtures and vents.
- Vacuums and spot clean carpet.
- Cleans trash cans and trash can compartments.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Must be able to communicate clearly with guests, customers, supervisors and fellow employees.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Must be able to calculate amounts and apply basic addition, subtraction and multiplication.
REASONING ABILITY
Must be able to analyze routine data to make appropriate judgments regarding banquets processes. Must be able to follow a floor plan diagram for setting a room.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Valid Driver’s License
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

HOURS
Due to the business demands of the hospitality industry, and the fact that the Resort provides guest services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, any employee may be required to work rotating shifts, including weekends, night shifts, and/or overtime. Also, depending on business demands, hours may be reduced at any time.
PAY SCALE
Starting at $16.00 p/hr.
