PURPOSE AND PERFORMANCE GOALS
Provides for the care and maintenance of the public areas, ornamental trees, shrubs, bedding plants, and flowers in compliance with facility standards, local, state and national codes and regulations to protect the asset, guests and employees, to ensure optimum operations, minimize expenses, and maximize guest satisfaction.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):
- Prepares soil for planting beds and lawn areas.
- Operates mechanical equipment such as mowers, weed trimmers and utility vehicles.
- Plants trees, shrubs, turf grass and flowers.
- Prunes and trims trees and shrubs.
- Maintains a clean landscape environment through trash removal and debris cleanup.
- Incorporate safe work practices in job performance.
- Maintains landscape through application of mulch, water, fertilizer and grooming.
- Maintains flexibility to take on new and different tasks as directed by the Department Manager.
- Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
- As need arises or as instructed must be willing to work with other departments or individuals.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Must be able to communicate clearly with guests, customers, supervisors and fellow employees.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Must be able to calculate amounts and apply basic addition, subtraction division and multiplication.
REASONING ABILITY
Must be able to analyze data to make appropriate judgments regarding duties.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Valid Driver’s License
