Position Summary
The range attendant is responsible for the daily, minute-to-minute setup, stocking, re-stocking, breakdown and cleanliness of the practice range facilities of the Club per the established Club standards and practices. The range attendant also assists in the stocking and cleanliness of the range and on course beverage stations.
General Duties and Responsibilities
Properly maintain cleanliness and organization of the practice areas daily (driving range, tees, chipping
green, and putting green).
Maintain "silent service" while members and their guests are practicing. Never interrupt, provide instruction or speak loudly with others on the range. Keep vehicles and unauthorized equipment off the range tees at all times.
Assist members and their guests with any requests. Offer to clean member clubs, restock club washing buckets with clean water, maintain club brushes, and restock clean range balls as needed.
Operate the range picker in a safe and responsible manner, Pick range balls from the range using the picker, maintain a safe distance from members and guests. Only exit the vehicle cage to clean our range balls from bunkers and difficult lies when it is safe to do so and certainly not when members are practicing.
Process and clean all range balls in the range ball room using the ball washer. Use the ball washer per instructions, maintain its cleanliness and report any issues to the professional staff.
Restock the teaching range, teaching building and ensure that teaching aids are properly presented.
Assist the outside services staff with projects and other needs when requested.
Stock available coolers and ice-chests at the range areas with appropriate beverages and ice per established guidelines. Maintain these hydrations areas in a clean and presentable appearance.
Stock, clean and maintain the on-course comfort stations with established beverage inventory and supplies on a regular basis throughout the day.
Keep required areas stocked with scorecards, pencils, tees, ball markers, and repair tools for daily play.
Work closely with the Golf Professionals, Teaching Professional, Outside Services staff and other departments to foster an environment of teamwork.
Conduct oneself in a professional manner and maintain a professional image. Present to work daily in the proper, clean uniform wearing safe, approved footwear. Take pride in personal appearance.
Know and Adhere to all Club and Golf Department related policies and procedures.
Exemplify the highest standards of professionalism, honesty, integrity, and general conduct.
Requirements
Previous extensive customer service experience.
High level of organizational skills.
Previous Golf experience / knowledge and enjoys the game of golf.
