Job Title: Security Supervisor
Available Schedules:
- Nights: Wednesday thru Saturday 9PM to 7AM with rotating Sunday 7PM to 7AM
Reports To: Operations Manager
Job Summary: The Security Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing and leading the security team, ensuring the safety and protection of our premises, assets, and personnel. This role requires a strong commitment to maintaining a secure and orderly environment while providing excellent leadership and support to security staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervision and Leadership: Lead and manage a team of security officers, providing guidance, and support, and ensuring their adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Security Operations: Oversee the day-to-day security operations, including access control, patrolling, incident response, and emergency procedures.
- Training and Development: Conduct training sessions and workshops for security personnel to enhance their skills and knowledge. Ensure that the team is well-prepared for all potential security situations.
- Security Protocols: Implement and enforce security protocols, including monitoring surveillance systems, installing equipment, and maintaining records of security-related activities.
- Incident Management: Respond to and manage security incidents, accidents, or breaches. Investigate and report on security-related incidents as necessary.
- Client and Employee Engagement: Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and employees, addressing their security concerns and requirements.
- Documentation on Maintaining accurate records and reports related to security incidents, shifts, and equipment checks.
- Security Technology: Familiarity with security technology, such as CCTV, alarm systems, and access control systems. Ensure proper functioning and maintenance of these systems.
- Emergency Response: Coordinate responses to emergencies, including fire drills, medical emergencies, and other incidents.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in security-related fields is a plus.
- Proven experience in a security supervisory or leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of security principles and practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in high-pressure and potentially hostile situations.
- Proficiency in using security technology and equipment.
- Valid security license or certification where required by law.
Physical Requirements:
Physical fitness and the ability to stand or walk for extended periods. May require lifting and carrying heavy objects. A valid driver's license and the ability to operate a company vehicle is necessary.
Work Environment:
The work environment for the Security Supervisor may include both indoor and outdoor settings. Exposure to varying weather conditions and the need to perform security duties in all seasons should be expected. The role may also involve patrolling on foot or by vehicle, depending on the specific job site. Willingness to be on call during non-scheduled hours for emergencies or last-minute shi coverage.
