CAD Designer

Overview
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented CAD Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills and a passion for design, with experience in mechanical design and proficiency in various CAD software. As a CAD Designer, you will play a crucial role in developing detailed designs and drawings that meet project specifications and industry standards.

Duties

• Create detailed 2D and 3D models using AutoCAD, Inventor, Creo, and other CAD software.
• Collaborate with engineers and project managers to understand design requirements and specifications.
• Conduct Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to validate designs and ensure structural integrity.
• Utilize Bluebeam for document management and collaboration on design projects.
• Prepare technical documentation, including assembly instructions and specifications.
• Ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards throughout the design process.
• Use NavisWorks for project visualization and coordination among different disciplines.
• Revise designs based on feedback from team members or clients to improve functionality or aesthetics.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Inventor, Creo, and NavisWorks is essential.
• Experience with mechanical design principles and practices.
• Familiarity with FEA techniques is preferred.
• Strong technical writing skills for creating clear documentation.
• Knowledge of applicable codes and standards related to engineering design.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being self-motivated.
• Excellent attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills.
• Previous experience in a similar role is an advantage.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Weekends as needed
