Eagle Valley Children’s Home is a non-profit organization that provides residential and respite care for children and young adults with developmental disabilities. We are looking for compassionate and reliable respite workers who can provide short-term care for our residents in their homes or in the community.
We are looking for individuals with weekend & evening availability! This would be a great part-time job or for someone going to school!
As a respite worker, you will:
- Provide personal care, supervision, and companionship to children and young adults with special needs
- Assist with daily living activities such as feeding, bathing, dressing, toileting and other needs as outlined
- Engage in recreational and educational activities that promote the physical, mental, and social well-being of the clients
- Follow the individualized care plans and safety protocols for each client
- Communicate effectively with the clients, their families, and the Eagle Valley staff
- Maintain accurate and timely records of the services provided
To be eligible for this position, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Have weekend and evening availability
- Get flu shot during flu season
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Have a valid Nevada driver’s license in good standing and reliable transportation
- Pass a background check and drug screening, including marijuana
- Be willing to attending trainings and various meetings with the Respite Coordinator to expand knowledge and skill set
- Have experience working with children or adults with special needs is great but not necessary. We are willing to train the right candidates.

Salary:
- $18.13/hr. to start effective August 19th, 2024
- $18.67/hr. after successful 6 month introductory period
- $19.06/hr. after successful 18 month review
- Drive time and mileage compensated
