What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Tech Assistant position at Eagle Valley Children's Home?
The Nevada Children’s Foundation, Inc., (dba) Eagle Valley Children's Home, is a private, not-for-profit organization which exists to support programs providing the highest quality service to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. These services include a residential program at Eagle Valley Children's Home and a respite program provided in the family’s home.
Position Summary for the Maintenance Assistant:
Starting Salary: $20.20 - $22.51 per hour (DOE)
Assists the Facility Manager/Supervisor in maintaining the safety of the facility and ensuring that standards are met in the maintenance and operations of the building and grounds, landscaping, water system, vehicles and equipment.
Specific maintenance duties including, but not limited to: monitoring/logging and upkeep of generator room, boiler room, electrical rooms, pool and pool mechanical room, exterior hydronics, HVACs, security system and vehicles. Maintain the grounds to include mowing, raking, watering, weeding, and snow removal. Keep grounds free of debris, keep the utility buildings and shop area clean and organized at all times, and keep the trash area clean and sanitary.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- High School diploma or GED required
- Maintenance, vehicle repair, and landscaping experience preferred
- Physically able to perform required duties; ability to lift and carry 50 lbs., and ability to successfully pass lifting screening and training
- Able to work cooperatively with all departments
- Able to maintain accurate record keeping
- Valid driver’s license and driving record acceptable to EVCH insurance carrier
- No criminal convictions per NRS 449.176, NRS 449.188
- Pass Drug and Alcohol Screening (We test for Marijuana due to being a safety sensitive position)
- COVID Vaccine required to protect our clients and employees
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm
Days Off Work: Saturday/Sunday

Rate of Pay: $20.60 - $22.51 per hour (depends on experience)
