Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities for a part time position. The Personal Assistant will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for clients by ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being.
Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including heavy lifting when necessary.
- Provide personal care services such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs as needed.
- Administer medication according to prescribed schedules.
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to the client's dietary needs.
- Maintain a clean and organized living environment for clients.
- Offer companionship and engage clients in meaningful conversations and activities.
- Support clients with mobility and transportation needs within the community.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care plans are followed.
Requirements
- Previous experience in personal assistance, nursing, or caregiving is preferred.
- Knowledge of dementia care and home community care practices is advantageous.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the client's needs.
- Familiarity with medication administration protocols and vital sign monitoring.
- Strong cooking skills with an emphasis on meal preparation for varied dietary requirements.
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate demeanor towards clients.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect client privacy at all times.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing client needs and schedules.
- Must be available to work from 10 pm to 7 am 3 days a week
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- CPR certification required.
- Must have a minimum of one (1) year experience.
