Description
Responsible for duties relating to effective and safe delivery of merchandise to store locations and customer sites within assigned job responsibility. Unload, stock, and load supplies/furniture for delivery. Assemble furniture, perform general maintenance and janitorial work.
Primary Job Duties/Responsibilities |
RECEIVING:
- Safely unload supplies/furniture and stock, as necessary, in warehouse area.
DELIVERY:
- Properly load merchandise on trucks/vans.
- Deliver, as assigned, to specific store/customer locations.
- Perform rural and in-town deliveries as scheduled.
ASSEMBLY:
- As necessary, assemble furniture for customers and for the sales floor.
IN STORE SUPPORT:
- Assist with carry-outs and checking in and stocking of heavy merchandise.
- Help sales personnel load supplies/equipment as needed.
MAINTENANCE:
- As instructed, assist with routine car and building maintenance, installation of large furniture shipments, and janitorial duties.
DOCUMENTATION:
- Prepare documentation relating to delivery promptly and accurately.
OTHER DUTIES AS MAY BE ASSIGNED
Qualifications
Qualifications |
- High School Education or Equivalent Desirable
- 6 Months Delivery/Warehouse Experience Preferred

- Valid Driver's License and Good Driving Record
- Must be Able to Pass DOT Physical
- Ability to Drive Vans/Straight Trucks and Manual Transmission
- Ability to Lift 70 Pounds Repeatedly During the Day
- Ability to Lift Heavier Objects with Cart and/or Assistance
- Ability to Load/Unload Merchandise onto Vans/Trucks
- Ability to Assemble and Install Furniture in Customer Facilities
