Job Summary
The Director of Marketing and Communications develops a comprehensive regional marketing and communications strategy and oversees the implementation and overall success of Marketing campaigns, events and brand identity.
Role and Responsibilities
- Conceptualizing and implementing the marketing strategy & plan in alignment with business objectives
- Designing, planning, and executing effective marketing campaigns in line with the marketing strategy, and establishing metrics to measure campaign effectiveness and ROI
- Building a high-performing marketing team and ensuring effective coordination with other departments to align marketing efforts with overall business activities
- Sourcing and managing agencies for key marketing functions, such as PR, advertising, media, social, and digital, to leverage specialized expertise and amplify marketing efforts
- Identifies new markets and target audiences
- Managing the Lead Generation Process and Execution as well as the measurement of effectiveness of Lead Generation Funnels.
- Creating content strategies based on business objectives, category focus, and audience segments across all marketing channels, including online, offline, and social platforms
- Works with executives to identify areas of growth
- Managing and reviewing the marketing budget to allocate resources effectively and ensure optimal ROI on marketing investments
- Oversees the development of marketing materials
- Helps develop a business’s brand identity
- Staying updated on market trends and competitor strategies, conducting market research, and gathering insights to inform marketing decisions and stay ahead in the industry
- Establish and drive a multi-channel communications strategy.
- Manage media relations and develop contacts with media members, influencers, and community leaders.
- Manage presence at industry events, trade shows, and conferences
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field; Advanced degree with Marketing Concentration a plus
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in management of a corporate Marketing Department with direct reports.
- Proven ability to develop Marketing Strategy including Brand Identity, Advertising Strategy, Media Buying, Campaign Management and Social Media Strategy.
- Demonstrated experience in Market Research and Data and Competitive Analysis
- Experience in Event Management, Planning and Budgeting.
- Familiarity with Copywriting, Content Creation, SEO and Storytelling
- Experience with Public Relations, Media Relations and Crisis Management a plus.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills; Comfortable with public speaking.
- Strong MS Office Skills; Experience with Salesforce a plus.
