Title: Purchasing and Planning Coordinator

EAM-Mosca Corp., Hazle Township PA, a dynamic market leader in the area of end-of-line automated packaging machinery and consumable strapping solutions. We are seeking a driven and experienced purchasing and planning professional.

The key to the ongoing success of the business is a system-based product portfolio featuring standard as well as custom engineered packaging machinery solutions and a superior consumable packaging product, complimented by quality technical service and readily available aftersales parts support

Role and Responsibilities:

• Negotiation skills and ability to constantly interface with management and suppliers
• Ability to work in a high-volume environment
• Excellent Reasoning and critical thinking skills
• Displays exemplary ethics and business conduct and performs work cognizant of safe work practices
• Optimize production schedule to minimize cost related to changeover
• Maintain appropriate raw material, packaging supply and finished goods inventories
• Complete cycle counts to ensure the company’s ERP system accurately reflects inventory levels
• Build professional relationships with all key suppliers.
• Review and maintain all supplier and vendor contracts, and terms and conditions.
• Create and implement a practical supplier scorecard; evaluate current supply base.
• Work cross functionally to evaluate and rationalize product offering.

 

Profile and Background:

• 3-5 or more years professional experience in a manufacturing environment, which includes Purchasing, Planning and Inventory Control functions.
• High School Diploma or some college with at least three (3) years of experience
• A high level of interpersonal and communication skills to work across functional and organizational lines.
• Comfortable with the use of computers and other electronic media including an understanding of word processing and Excel spreadsheet software. Effective written and verbal communication.
• Highly adaptable and flexible to accept new ideas, people, and procedures and adapt to a changing environment.
• The ability to organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines.

Additional Preferred

• Professional Certification APICS/CPIM desired.
• Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP) Certification desired.
• Experience with AS400 and/or SAP highly desirable
• Experience in a manufacturing company desired.
