We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Structural BIM Modeler/Structural BIM Coordinator who is eager to advance their career with an award-winning, full-service design and consulting firm!

Responsibilities include:
- Develop and manage detailed 3D models of structural systems (e.g., concrete, steel, wood framing) using BIM software such as Autodesk Revit.
- Collaborate with architects, mechanical engineers, and other disciplines to ensure proper integration of structural components within the overall building design.
- Conduct clash detection and resolve conflicts between structural systems and other building elements.
- Interpret structural design concepts, sketches, and engineering drawings to produce accurate and constructible BIM models.
- Ensure designs are compliant with applicable building codes, structural standards, and project specifications.
- Assist structural engineers with model-based coordination, detailing, and documentation to support structural calculations and design development.
- Prepare construction documentation including detailed structural drawings, sections, schedules, and details extracted from BIM models.
- Maintain and update structural BIM models throughout the design and construction phases, ensuring accuracy and alignment with current project requirements.
- Contribute to larger, complex projects by delivering high-quality structural models on time and within project scope.
- Manage model updates and file sharing workflows to ensure coordination across all disciplines using the latest design data.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to junior modelers and drafters in structural modeling best practices.
- Perform quality control checks on BIM models to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with standards.
- Stay current with emerging BIM tools and technologies relevant to structural modeling, and proactively implement improvements to workflows.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software-related issues specific to the structural discipline.
- Collaborate effectively with project managers, structural engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure design intent and technical requirements are met.
- Attend coordination meetings and actively contribute to interdisciplinary design discussions.
- Lead quarterly structural BIM meetings to share knowledge, update standards, and review best practices.
Qualifications:
- Associate Degree in Design/Drafting or equivalent
- Must have Revit and AutoCAD knowledge, skills and abilities
- Minimum 8 years of experience in structural design and BIM modeling
- Working knowledge of Architectural, Electrical, Mechanical, and Structural drawings
- Understanding of relevant codes, standards, and best practices
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
- Thorough understanding of BIM, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office suite
- Commitment to quality assurance/quality control procedures
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks in a deadline-driven environment
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
- Strong written and verbal communication skills required
- Must possess a valid driver's license
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship
This position will report directly to the Structural Department Manager and will work as an integrated member of a multi-disciplinary, in-house team of engineers, architects, and BIM Modelers.
Wage Range: $30.17-$47.67/hour. The listed pay range represents the company's good faith estimate of the minimum and maximum base rate of pay for this position at the time of the posting. The selected candidate's compensation will be determined based on their work location, qualifications, relevant experience, operational needs, demonstrated performance over time, and internal pay alignment.
