Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement creative and educational activities for school-age children in our summer program, emphasizing their social, emotional, and cognitive growth.
- Foster a safe and supportive environment where children can explore, learn, and thrive beyond the typical daycare experience.
- Develop innovative lesson plans and curriculum that reflect our commitment to holistic child development and personalized learning.
- Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities, off-site excursions and fieldtrips ensuring their well-being and safety at all times.
- Maintain open and collaborative communication with parents and caregivers, offering insights into their child's progress and engagement in the program.
- Collaborate with our dedicated team to create a comprehensive and engaging summer program that goes beyond traditional daycare offerings.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working with school-age children in a childcare or educational setting.
- Teaching Certficate/Associate's/Bachelor's in Early Education, Elementary Education, or a related field preferred that will qualify under MN DHS Teacher requirments
- Understanding of child development principles and a commitment to providing a holistic approach to education.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
- Ability to pass a background check required by state regulations.
Schedule: This is a seasonal position for the duration of the summer, starting in late May 2025 and ending September 2, 2025, Monday-Friday 7:15am-4:15pm with one hour unpaid break.
