Responsibilities:
- Support the lead teacher with daily learning and developmentally sound activities
-Foster a safe and supportive environment where children can explore, learn, and thrive beyond the typical daycare experience
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities and educational programs
- Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities, ensuring their well-being and safety at all times
- Assist with personal hygiene tasks, such as diapering and potty training
- Maintain open communication with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the childcare area
- Follow all health and safety guidelines and MN DHS Rule 3
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with children, such as in a daycare, school, or similar setting
- Understanding of child development principles and a commitment to providing a holistic approach to education.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues
- Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Ability to pass a background check required by state regulations
-High School diploma or equivalent education
Note: Experience in nannying or babysitting is also valued for this position
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00 pm with a one hour unpaid break.
