What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Teacher Part Time position at Early Childhood Education Center?
Responsibilities: Promoting Child Development in conjunction with academic learning, while providing a safe, nurturing, educational environment and promoting social, emotional, physical and cognitive growth. Can successfully plan and execute monthly lesson plans in accordance with the curriculum. Can work together well with other teachers and childcare staff. Must be available to attend staff meeting and workshops to complete required minimum of professional development hours per year. Additional duties may be assigned by the Director.
Work Experience/Skills: Must have at least two years of teaching experience, Must exhibit sincere interest in working with young children and be knowledgeable regarding children's development and growth. Make good judgement, self-motivated, creative, reliable, flexible, and dependable. Must be able to handle lifting and or carrying children and other items up to 50 pounds.
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Education, or any other field related to Child Growth and Development; or Teaching Certification from Department of Education in Elementary Education, Nursery School, Preschool through Third Grade (P-3) or Teacher of the Handicapped, Six credits and two years of experience.
OR
Bachelor's Degree in any field other than early childhood education plus nine credits and three years of experience
OR
CDA Credential with experience
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.49 - $16.00 per hour
