Volunteer Recruitment Coordinator:
SUMMARY
Responsible for identifying Volunteer and Encore Sub candidates (ECSC Corps Members) with the right skills and talents to take on the organization’s specific project. Recruiter will do so by working with the organization to understand specific workforce needs, building partnerships with individuals and entities to access pools of potential Corps Members and defining a process for ongoing recruitment, as needed. Vet prospective members on behalf of the organization. Institutionalize the process of recruiting members by implementing a skilled member talent acquisition process and infrastructure. Focus on diversity and equity; decreasing barriers to participation and developing supports such as stipends. This individual will exhibit strong networking and influencing skills and a process-oriented mindset.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE RECRUITMENT MANAGER:
Volunteer Recruitment and Member Relationship Building: (75%)
The Manager is responsible for implementing ECSC Member recruitment efforts and volunteer management
This includes:
- Building new relationships, and expanding existing ones, with aging adult service providers and older adult centered organizations
- Partnering with Workforce Centers and Connecting Colorado 50
- Identifying organizations and individual contacts as prospects
- Hosting Virtual Information Sessions for prospective Members.
- Partnering with third-party organizations and sites to market volunteer opportunities
- Overseeing the volunteer/member application process including interest inquiries
- Overseeing volunteer appreciation and community building activities
Areas of Focus
- Compliance: Oversee compliance with government and organizational recruiting policies
- Strategy: Design a recruitment strategy that aligns with the organizations mission
- Metrics: Track recruiting metrics
- Software: Review recruitment software and input data
- Evaluation: Work with Development to Collect, record, and analyze project data
Communications: (15%)
The Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Digital Communications Coordinator DCC in implementing all ECSC communications, including but not limited to the following:
- Social Media and Blogs: creating & editing content on all social media outlets, including Facebook ,Instagram, blogs, etc.
- Recruitment Content: Collaborating with the DCC to design ECSC’s recruitment content.
- Assistance with ECSC Newsletters: supporting the creation of the monthly e-newsletter
- Assistance with Website: supporting content updates and a user-friendly experience of the website.
General Staff Support: (10%)
As a team member of ECSCs staff, the Manager will be available to take on small and/or short-term projects that may be outside the realm of direct responsibilities of their position to support other staff members and/or to further the overall purpose and benefit of the organization at large.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Passion and commitment to ECSC’s model, mission and vision.
- Solid relationship-building skills.
- Experience working with older adults
- Experience working with or knowledge of the Early Childhood Education field
- An interest in community development and volunteer-led development,
- Interest in working for a small, ambitious nonprofit.
- Self-motivated and ability to prioritize tasks with little supervision.
- Experience working on diverse teams, with intergenerational experience beneficial.
- Strong oral communication skills, with comfort and ability to effectively communicate with a variety of experienced adults
- Spanish language basics are beneficial.
- Preference to be located near or with easy access to Denver Colorado
- Some Travel Required across the state
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
- Salary: hourly/ 15- 20 hours per week
- Location: remote/preferred location Denver Metro with limited travel around the state
