Job Goal:
To provide administrative and clerical support that ensures the smooth operation of the early childhood building, serving as a key point of contact for students, staff, and families. The secretary fosters a positive and organized environment that supports the developmental and educational needs of young learners.
PERFORMANCE INDICATORS:

Maintains accurate student records, attendance, and enrollment data in the district’s information system

Greets visitors, families, and students in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring building security protocols are followed

Provides clerical support to the principal, staff, and early childhood programs, including scheduling, filing, correspondence, and supply ordering

Assists with communication between the school and families through newsletters, phone calls, emails, and translated materials (if applicable)

Coordinates transportation changes, early dismissals, and health-related student concerns in collaboration with school nurse and staff

Manages the front office in an efficient, calm, and child-friendly manner, particularly during high-traffic times such as arrival and dismissal

Supports the planning and coordination of school events, screenings, and parent meetings

Demonstrates initiative, reliability, and a collaborative spirit as part of the early childhood team
