What are the responsibilities and job description for the Early Childhood Summer Camp Counselor position at Early Childhood?
Camp Headwaters is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic camp counselors for the 2025 summer season. We offer four two-week sessions, along with one shorter 3-day session. We require all counselors to commit to at least one full two-week session. Camp Headwaters will run June 2nd, 2025 - August 1st, 2025. Employees are expected to commit to two days of paid training in May.
For nine weeks each summer, Headwaters School hosts a summer program for children ages 18 months to 5 years. Our counselors make sure every child has fun and stays safe, creating a summer filled with excitement, adventure, and care. They provide a positive, supportive environment where kids can explore, make new friends, and create lasting memories.
We invite all members of our community—students, guides, staff, parents, and trustees—to be Peacemakers, Advocates, Creators, and Thinkers.
While Headwaters School follows a Montessori-based curriculum during the school year, Camp Headwaters offers a more relaxed, adaptable summer program that does not adhere to the same curriculum structure.
The Summer Camp Counselor will report directly to our Auxiliary Programs Manager.
