What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-Time Speech Language Pathologist- Early Childhood Center, Sharon Public Schools position at Early Childhood?
The Sharon Public Schools is seeking a .4 (2 day per week) FTE Speech/Language Pathologist for the Early Childhood Center at the Sharon Public Schools.
For the rest of the 24-25 school year the 2 work days per week are Thursday and Friday.
Roles and responsibilities of the Speech Language Pathologist include but are not limited to:
- Provision of direct services which may include Fluency, Receptive and expressive language, voice and resonance, articulation, Hearing, including the impact on speech and language, Swallowing, Cognitive aspects of communication, Social aspects of communication, and Communication modalities, specifically AAC devices
- Administer Speech/Language evaluations and develop written evaluation reports for eligibility (to include diagnostic impressions abd educationally relevant recommendations)
- Participation in IEP meetings
- Development and implementation of IEP goals
- Progress reporting
- Case management of Speech only IEP students
- Consultation to team members and parents
- Collaborate with other district Speech providers
- Facilitate Speech only Annual IEP meetings and all related paperwork as appropriate
- Other duties assigned by the Principal or Director of Student Services as applicable
The successful candidate will have school based experience and/or experience with elementary aged students with disabilities. Experience with students with Autism Spectrum Disorders preferred.
3 years of related experience preferred
DESE licensure in Speech, Language, and Hearing Disorders (Levels: All) required.
Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology preferred.
Salary commensurate with experience in accordance with the Sharon Teachers Association Collective Bargaining Agreement.
