Job Summary
Responsible for maintaining high quality early education programs within Early Connections Learning Centers. Provides strategic leadership, supervision, training, support, and mentoring of Center Directors. Oversees all aspects of Early Connections’ apprenticeship program. Assists VP of Center Operations in advancing early childhood care and education focused on high quality programs and services.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Develops, implements, and maintains a state-of-the-art early education program with appropriate resources for Early Connections professionals consistent with the philosophy, principles, methods, and techniques endorsed by Early Connections, Colorado Department of Early Learning Licensing, and NAEYC.
- Monitors and ensures the delivery of high-quality comprehensive child development services for children 6 weeks to 14 years of age.
- Supervises and supports Center Directors, ensuring quality services and compliance with program standards, NAEYC, Head Start regulations and licensing.
- Leads and coaches Center Directors in building and contributing to positive culture, teamwork, accountability and best practices at individual centers and within the organization as a whole.
- Responsible for working with Center Directors to achieve and maintain NAEYC Accreditation and/or QRIS ratings.
- Oversees and implements on-site early childhood registered apprenticeship program, ensuring compliance with Colorado Department of Labor, Workforce Development, and the registered apprenticeship program.
- Supports the growth and development of on-site Child Development Associate coursework, meeting the needs of the registered apprenticeship, while supporting high-quality learning for teachers.
- In collaboration with the VP of Center Operations, responsible for the management of center and apprenticeship program budget.
- In conjunction with the Support Services Director, monitor annual required trainings to ensure licensing requirements are met.
- Engage in positive interactions with children, teachers, school personnel, Early Connections staff, and families.
- Present self professionally in appearance, speech, attitude, values, and support of Early Connections’ mission.
- Comply with all Early Connections policies and procedures, Colorado Department of Human Services licensing requirements, Head Start Performance Standards, and NAEYC standards.
- Communicate with appropriate staff (within all departments and community) to meet the needs of the classroom, children, families, and host schools.
- Share all information with co-workers and supervisors as appropriate and communicate openly and honestly.
- Use discretion and maintain confidentiality with matters of children, families, staff, and program as appropriate.
Salary Range: $65K-$70K annual salary

Qualifications
General Skills Requirement
Reading – Ability to read moderately difficult books, manuals, handbooks, emails, policies, procedures, reports, calendars, letters, schedules, etc. written in the English language.
Writing – Using the English language to write simple, compound, and complex sentences with proper formation, punctuation, syntax, spelling, and grammar using all parts of speech.
Speaking – Speak clearly and distinctly with poise using correct English.
Reasoning – Apply principles of rational systems to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variable situations.
Mathematical – Add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure. Perform arithmetic operations involving all American monetary units.
Technology – Ability to use computer hardware and software to complete job tasks including keyboarding, word processing, spreadsheets, database, data entry, file management & Windows Explorer.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, Child Development, or closely related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Three or more years of successful management and supervisory experience of an early education program.
- Knowledge of Colorado Child Care Licensing and NAEYC standards.
- Center Director qualified per Colorado Department of Early Childhood rules and regulations.
