What are the responsibilities and job description for the Child Care Center Director Head Teacher as defined by the State of NJ OOL position at Early Discovery Learning Center?
Preschool and childcare center director with graduate degree supervises and leads staff, designs and assists program plans, oversees daily activities, and prepares daily attendance and work hours for staff. Director is responsible for all aspects of the center’s program, policies, procedures, NJ state requirements and facility, etc.
Duties include (not an exhausted list)
- Supervise preschool teachers and childcare workers
- Hire and train new staff members
- Provide professional development opportunities for staff
- Establish policies and communicate them to staff and parents
- Develop educational programs and standards
- Maintain instructional excellence
- Assist staff in communicating with parents and children
- Meet with parents and staff to discuss students’ progress
- Help in Prepareing budgets and allocating program funds
- Ensure that facilities are maintained and cleaned according to state regulations

- CANDIDATE MUST demonstrate thorough understanding of and experience with NJ State Rules and Requirements pertaining to the operation of Child Care Centers in the State of New Jersey as well as any covid-19 related changes

Pay: $33,280.00 - $40,000.00 per year
