Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in child development and classroom management. As a Preschool Teacher's Assistant, you will play a key role in fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young learners.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain confidentiality regarding staff and family information;
- Be present at work to provide a consistency of services to the children;
- Participate in all staff meetings, conferences, training sessions and workshops as assigned;
- Demonstrate knowledge of employment policies, performance standards, work plans and objectives of the agency;
- Shows initiative, dependability, flexibility, high motivation, and is a team player who projects a pleasant personality;
- Maintain congenial and respectful relations and professional boundaries with staff, children, families and the community
Monitor students in a variety of educational settings to provide a safe and positive learning
environment
- Establish a positive classroom climate by guiding the behavior of children in positive and effective ways
- Encourage experimentation, exploration, problem solving, cooperation, socialization and choice-making; ask open-ended questions and follow-up questions to promote further learning and thinking;
Qualifications:
- Preschool CDA or AA Degree in Early Childhood - OR - be willing to obtain
- Previous experience working with preschool-aged children in a childcare or educational setting
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of students

Pay: $15.14 - $17.64 per hour
