Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to identify individual needs and develop tailored behavior intervention plans.
- Implement applied behavior analysis strategies to promote positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors in clients.
- Collaborate with families, educators, and other professionals to ensure consistency in the delivery of behavioral interventions.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Provide training and support to staff on the implementation of behavior intervention plans.
- Conduct diagnostic evaluations to monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Advocate for individuals with developmental disabilities and autism, ensuring their rights and needs are met within various settings.
Requirements
- Board Certification as a Behavior Analyst (BCBA) is required.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and autism is essential.
- Strong knowledge of applied behavior analysis principles and techniques.
- Familiarity with special education practices and patient care standards.
- Proficiency in maintaining medical records and understanding HIPAA compliance.
