What are the responsibilities and job description for the Child Care Teacher's Assistant position at Early Learning Center at Assumption?
· Be flexible and available to support the plans the teacher has for the children. Follow the direction of the teachers and program supervisor. We have 1 part time position from 11:00am-3/4:00pm Monday through Friday.
· Be willing to prep for snack/lunch, help with crafts and transitions.
· Help with handwashing and toileting.
· Be proactive! If a potential problem or need arises, take action.
· Be willing to “step in” for the teacher and lead children.
· Be aware of and comply with center rules and regulations.
· You are a mandated reporter in reference to child abuse.
· If an incident/accident happens, you are required to document and report it to the Director, or Program Supervisor if the Director is not available, before your shift ends.
· Be familiar with emergency procedures and how to perform them.
· Maintain confidentiality in all areas. Keep client families information protected. Any concerns should be discussed with the Director only.
Help with daily cleaning duties
· Model respect and grace while interacting with co-workers.
· Have a warm, helpful attitude.
Summary

Qualifications
- Experience working with children in a daycare or classroom setting
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles
- Ability to provide infant and toddler care
- Familiarity with classroom management techniques
- First aid certification preferred
- Experience with special education or working with children with disabilities is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
