Job Title : Child Care Opener (Part-Time)
Schedule :
Part-time, early morning hours 6 : 15am-10 : 15am Monday-Friday
Job Summary :
We are seeking a warm, friendly, and dependable Opener for our Early Education Program to create a welcoming safe environment for children and families each morning. This role is essential in setting the tone for the day, ensuring smooth transitions, and supporting teachers while adhering to state licensing regulations. The ideal candidate must love working with children and families, communicate effectively, and provide a positive and organized start to each day.
Responsibilities :
Open the Childcare facility each morning, ensuring all areas are safe, clean, and ready for children.
Greet children and families warmly upon arrival, helping with smooth drop-offs receiving children as well as provide breakfast.
Ensure all sign-in and documentation procedures are followed according to licensing and program regulations.
Observe and communicate important details about each childs arrival, mood, or special instructions from parents.
Provide morning reports to teachers, ensuring they are aware of any notes from parents.
Assist with early morning activities, engaging children in a calm and welcoming manner.
Support teachers by preparing materials, supervising small groups, or helping with transitions.
Follow all health and safety guidelines to maintain a secure environment.
Communicate professionally with families and staff, fostering a sense of trust and community.
Qualifications :
Must be reliable with minimal Call offs per year and take pride in exemplary attendance
Must have a strong Passion for working with young children and families.
Friendly, warm, and professional demeanor.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of or willingness to learn state licensing rules and daycare policies.
Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and administration.
CPR / First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
High School Diploma and Previous experience in childcare or early childhood education required.
