SUMMARY:
This position is primarily responsible for assisting in the implementation of developmental screening services for School Readiness, Voluntary Prekindergarten and locally funded programs. This position requires an individual who can work independently with excellent time management and organizational skills. Will demonstrate excellent attention to detail maintain accuracy in their work and can handle sensitive and confidential information in a professional manner. Bilingual and able to read, write and speak in English and Spanish proficiently is required.
HOURS:
This is a full-time position, and business hours at the Palm Springs location is Monday through Thursday 8:00 am to 5:30 pm and Friday from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm. Longer hours, evenings, and weekends may be necessary on occasion.
PAYRATE: up to $22.50 per hour
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for providing support for the accurate performance of program tasks for Coalition's State, Federal and locally funded programs.
- Supports the Coalition's developmental screening process and performs various functions to include but not be limited to technical assistance for childcare providers, data entry, file management and liaison with partner agencies.
- Provides services in coordination with the Healthy Beginnings System of Palm Beach County.
- Provides training and technical assistance as required.
- Researches and is knowledgeable of all current Early Care and Education regulations, guidelines, standards and rules for State, Federal and locally funded programs.
- Provides information to community partners, and other contractors on mandates, policies, and requirements related to the School Readiness, Voluntary Prekindergarten and locally funded programs.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from an accredited four-year College or university in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Health and Human Services, or related field, required.
- Two years of related experience and/or training.
- Knowledge or experience with Ages & Stages (ASQ's) or any Developmental Screenings preferable.
