SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for conducting on-site programmatic monitoring, compliance reviews and technical assistance to childcare providers participating in the School Readiness, Voluntary Prekindergarten and CSC Scholarship programs. Responsibilities also include supporting and monitoring the department's quality assurance practices to ensure requirements set forth by the Office of Early Learning and achieved.
HOURS:
This position is designated as Telecommute. This is a full-time position, and business hours at the Boynton location is Monday through Friday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. Longer hours, evenings, and weekends may be necessary on occasion.
PAY RATE: up to $27.50 per hour commensurate with experience.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Document all informal procedures into the quality supports monitoring manual and update as necessary.
- Create and maintain an electronic notebook of policy and procedures for easy reference.
- Manage tracking system of providers on corrective action/probation and ensure team visits occur regularly.
- Informs the Quality Assurance (QA) Manager when to close out provider probations and corrective action plans.
- Sends out weekly notification to ELC leadership of providers on the watchlist and sends the list to partnering organization monthly.
- Assist in coordinating ELC's Internal Review Committee (IRC).
- Tracks the status of monitoring schedule through the CRM and prepares reports as needed.
- Assist in new staff training.
- Serves as a backup when the QA Manager is unavailable.
- Conducts on- site programmatic assessments and review monitoring of Childcare Providers in School Readiness, Voluntary Prekindergarten and/or the CSC Scholarship programs using approved program monitoring tools.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from an accredited four-year College or university in Education, Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Health and Human Services or a related field, required.
- Three years of progressively responsible experience in childcare environment.
- One year of experience in quality compliance work.
- Knowledge of best practices in a childcare setting.
- Familiarity with childcare licensing standards.
- Demonstrated organizational ability to manage projects/teams and train staff.
- Experience scheduling and coordinating work for other staff.
