What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bilingual Developmental Specialist position at Early Learning Institute?
PSYNOPSIS OF DUTIES:
Provides weekly play-therapy to infants and toddlers who are demonstrating a developmental delay or are at risk for a developmental delay. Vast majority of duties are performed on “home” visits, which are currently being offered in a variety of modalities: in-home, virtual, at ELI’s center, in outdoor settings, etc. Schedule is flexible. Fulltime and Parttime positions available.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1) Provide regularly scheduled one-to-one play therapy visits to assigned caseload
2) Create specific activity suggestions for parents and care-providers.
3) Produce developmental reports, including goals for IFSP planning
4) Provide case coordination and support for families, as needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1) Bachelor’s degree in Child Development or related field, licensed professional,
OR equivalent experience.
2) Experience with children, preferably young children with special needs.
3) Broad based knowledge of development; early intervention strategies a plus.
4) Excellent time management and organizational skills.
5) Knowledge of community resources.
6) Ability to exercise discretion and confidentiality
7) Basic computer proficiency – email, Microsoft word, etc.
Fingerprint clearance will be required after hire. TB and immunization clearance (including COVID vaccination) also required. Must have reliable transportation, proof of auto insurance and proof of valid California driver’s license.
